KITE—Funeral for Ruby Dell Flanders Henry, 82, was held Thursday, May 5, 2005 at 4 p.m. at Gumlog Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Tommy McGee and Elder Mickey Harris officiating. Buril was in the church cemetery. She died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at the University Hospital in Augusta.

Emanuel Rangers Chapter No. 2318, United Daughters of the Confederacy observed Memorial Day, Sunday, April 24 at 2:30 at the George L. Smith Room of the Franklin Memorial Library.

The program was dedicated to Mrs. Zelma Corbin Williamson, Jan. 19, 1922- March 12, 2005, an Emanuel Rangers Chapter member.

Miss Holly Boatright, bride-elect of Jim Beecher, was guest of honor at a miscellaneous shower tea Sunday, May 1, at the Johnson Pond House on Lake Luck Drive.     SWAINSBORO—Memorial service for Viola Mae Ramsell, 74, will be held in Chemung, Ill., at a later date. She died Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Emanuel Medical Center.

    Mrs. Ramsell was born in Beloit, Wis. and had lived here for 20 years. She had retired with Emanuel County Board of Education as a cafeteria specialist.
