    Rev. Timothy McDonald III will be guest speaker at the Commemorative Service Sunday, Jan. 16 at Mt. Moriah A.M.E. Church at 6 p.m.

    Rev. McDonald is a native of Brunswick and received his bachelor of arts degree (magna cum laude) from Berry College in Rome; and his master of divinity degree from Emory University. He has taught and lectured at colleges and universities in Atlanta and around the country.

    Lisa Mercer of Shop Rite Pharmacy was recently certified by the Board of Orthotist/Prosthetist as a BOC Certified Orthotic Fitter for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification.

    To receive the credential, Mercer received extensive training as well as supervised practical experience and has passed comprehensive certification examinations.
