METTER—Funeral for Katie Mattair, 80, was held Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Wood Funeral Home with burial in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Emanuel County. She died Saturday, June 23, 2005 at her residence.

Mrs. Mattair was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Kite. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann Hallisey.

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East Central Georgia of Swainsboro Technical College will conduct a ‘This Small Space’ workshop in the CCR&R multipurpose room, Building three, on the campus of Swainsboro Technical College on Saturday, Aug. 6,from 9 a.m to 12 noon.

Big one!

Justin Moxley is the son of Daniel and Karen Moxley of Garfield. He caught this 10-pound large mouth bass while fishing in a private pond near his home. This is one of three of Justin’s big catches this summer. He has really enjoyed his break from school by reeling in some big ones this summer.
