Poplar Springs UMC to host barbecue

A fundraising barbecue will be held at Poplar Springs United Methodist Church, located between Scott and Adrian, Saturday, May 21 from 5-7 p.m. Advance tickets are available by calling 668-3606. Plates are $6 each. Proceeds will go towards a new roof for the church.

Justin Hackle celebrates birthday at ‘Shrek’ party

Justin Allen Hackle, son of Ralph and Jean Hackle of Adrian, celebrated his birthday Saturday, April 30, at his home. Justin was 9 years old May 1.

The theme of the party was “Shrek 2” including a theme birthday cake. Also served were grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, baked beans and snacks.
