SHS wrestling team finishes second

This past weekend, the Swainsboro High School wrestling team finished in second place at the Rebel Invitational at Effingham High School.

Bark Camp Church hosts Christmas celebration

Bark Camp Church in Midville will host a Christmas celebration Thursday, Dec. 23 at 7 p.m. The old church has recently been restored to its pre-Civil War condition.

Chris and Keri Hood of Adrian announce the birth of their daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Hood, Dec. 6 at Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville. Maternal grandparents are Pat and Bobby Jones of Athens. Paternal grandparents are Carl and Anne Hood of Midville. Great-grandparents are Dorothy Jones and Dorothy Beggs, both of Valdosta, and Grace Collier of Midville. Lauren was welcomed home by her brother, Harrison, and sister, Michael Ann.

Holiday gospel fest slated at Lester Grove

Pages of Life has service Sunday

Pages of Life Christian Worship Centre in Swainsboro has service every Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Bible study is every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and Friday Corporate Prayer is held at 7:30 p.m. Marcellus R. Hannah is pastor. Vision of the church is “moving to the next page” and its mission is “raising our standards to meet the needs of the community.”
