The Swainsboro Jaycees will hold its annual BBQ chicken plate sale to benefit community service projects Friday, May 27 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Pickupis at Emanuel County Recreation Department and plates are $5 each. EAC to host amateur art contest in June

Emanuel Arts Council’s is calling All Artists to participate in the Annual Local and Amateur Artists Exhibition at the Kalmanson Gallery June 12 through July 29.

All-State Chorus

Swainsboro High School students Chris Porter and Daniel Porter recently participated in the Georgia Music Educators Association’s All-State Chorus. This three-day event was held in Savannah. To earn this honor, Chris and Daniel had to pass auditions at both the region and state levels. By their selection, Chris and Daniel are among the very best high school singers in the state.
