Grant Hammack named 2004 Special Olympics coach of year

Swainsboro native Grant Hammack was recently selected winner of the 2004 Special Olympics North America-National High School Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year Award. The award is given annually to an active United States high school coach who is also an active Special Olympics coach for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Cameron Michelle Hadden, daughter of Charlie and Deadre Hadden of Swainsboro, was honored at a birthday party Oct. 23 at her home. Cameron was 5 years old Oct. 27.
