Tennis tournament scheduled May 14-15

During the weekend of May 14-15, the Swainsboro Area Tennis Association will host the Pine Tree Festival Tennis Tournament at Harmon Park. Divisions of play will be men’s and women’s singles and doubles, mixed doubles and junior’s singles.

Deadline to enter is May 11. To enter call 237-3933 or 27-5518. Entry forms can be picked up at businesses or at Swainsboro Emanuel County Recreation Department.

CCR&R offers fire safety, CPR course

Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) Agency of East central Georgia of Swainsboro Tech will conduct a CPR/First Aid/Fire Safety Workshop in the Appling County Community Center, 305 Harvey Street, in Baxley on Saturday May 21, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The registration cost will be $35.
