CROSS-GREEN—Funeral for Mattie Fields Ford, 86, was held Saturday, Nov. 13, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church in the Cross-Green Community with Rev. Robert L. Stephens officiating. She died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2004.

DEA gets early look at basketball teams

David Emanuel Academy fans will get an early look at the 2004-05 basketball teams this Thursday when DEA plays the Red-White scrimmage game at the school gymnasium. The girls contest will tip off at 6:30 followed by the boys contest. Admission to the games is free.

SWAINSBORO—Funeral for Rodney Dale Goggans, Sr., 51, was held Saturday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dellwood. He died Thursday, Nov. 11 at the Emanuel Medical Center after a brief illness.
