Swainsboro police officers reported numerous domestic incidents and burglaries for the week. Cases logged are:

March 28

An E. Main St. man reported his ex-girlfriend keeps has been harassing and threatening him.

A man who driving on Pughsley St. reported another vehicle struck him.

Christine Braswell Nichols, 87

TIFTON—Funeral for Christine Braswell Nichols, 87, was held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2005 at Salem Primitive Baptist Church in Screven with Elder Tommy Waters of Jesup, Elder Roland Waters of Screven and Christopher Drake Spearman of Pasadena, Calif. officiating. She died on Wednesday, March 30, 2005.

Survey of technical college grads released

The Carl Vinson Institute of Government has released the results of a survey of 1992-93 class of graduates from Georgia’s technical colleges. The study was intended find out how satisfied these graduates were with their technical education, and to discover how effectively their education prepared them for careers.

“Live from Swainsboro…It’s Saturday Night” cast and crew celebrate at the conclusion of their recent performance. Due to popular demand, DVD and VHS of the event will be offered for sale at $10 each.     Miss Michele Lyons, bride-elect of Jim Roberts, was honored at a miscellaneous shower March 13 at the Spivey Clubhouse. Serving as hostesses were Kim Overstreet, Frances Bender, Tammy Watkins, Sheila Youmans, Mary Rose Brown, Brandi Yeomans, Gail Douglas, Paula Amerson and Joyce Johnson.
