Thirty members of the Swainsboro High School Future Business Leaders of America Chapter attended the FBLA State Leadership Conference on March 17-20 at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Recently, Canoochee Riverkeeper conducted a study to look at mercury levels in fish from the Canoochee River. What we found was quite disturbing: 6 out of 7 (over 85%) of the largemouth bass in the Canoochee River had mercury levels twice what the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says is safe for human consumption.
