The boys of Emanuel County Institute’s basketball team began their regular season play in East Laurens on Tuesday, Nov. 30. The origin and changing usage of words has always been of great interest to me.

The word for this week is “Dude,” as in (“Dude, where’s my car?); (“Hey, dude.”); ( “What’s up, dude?”)
