Jeff Tapley went to Daniel’s Chevrolet this past Saturday to check on valve seals for his pick-up truck. Swainsboro police officers reported numerous incidents for the week. Cases are:

May 9 A Gumlog Rd. woman reported someone keyed her vehicle.

A Gumlog Rd woman reported someone stole her cell phone from her car.

A woman whose car was towed reported some items are missing from her vehicle.

    Beth Lane of Swainsboro participated in the Glennville Sweet Onion 1 Mile and 5K Run held Saturday, May 14 in Glennville.

    She was the overall female winner in the 1 Mile Run and won first place in her age group in the 5K Run.


    Sweats Package Shop robbed

    On Monday, May 9 at about 9:30 p.m, Emanuel County deputies and Swainsboro police officers were called to Sweat’s Package Shop on North Coleman Street in reference to an armed robbery. Officers arrived to discover an unknown black male had entered the place of business with a firearm and demanded money from the register.
