The annual ECI pageants were held February 2 inside the school’s auditorium and at the end of the evening, Anna Wiggins was crowned Miss ECI 2019. Morgan Taylor placed first runner-up, Destiny Akridge placed second runner-up, Taylor Radford placed third runner-up, and Ally Sasser placed fourth runner-up.

Bulldogs’ baseball season begins with two wins

The ECI baseball team started the 2019 season last week with wins against two Region 2-AA teams.
Tuesday, the Bulldogs took the short trip up Lambs Bridge Road to take on their neighbors at Tiger Field. ECI defeated Swainsboro 9-2 on a windy, rainy afternoon to pick up their first win of the season.

Eagles fall in first round of playoffs

David Emanuel Academy’s varsity boys basketball team traveled to Rome to play Unity Christian School in the first round of the GICAA state playoffs. Unfortunately, the Lions lived to see another day with a 60–50 win over DEA.

The second round of the GICAA basketball state playoffs was a battle of the Eagles as David Emanuel and Grace Christian Academy squared off Friday, February 15, at Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon.
