Claxton family welcomes home baby girl

   Proud parents BJ and Lindsay Claxton are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter, Ava Louise Claxon. Born July 30, 2018 at 5:57 p.m. at University Hospital of Augusta, she weighed 6 lb. 10 oz. and was 20” long.

   Ava Louise is the granddaughter of Ken and Sharon Tomlinson and Bobby and Melissa Claxton. She was welcomed home by her big brother, Ellis.

Donny Ray Jenkins, 62

   Funeral services for Donny Ray Jenkins, 62, of Kite were held Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverends Louis Pearce and Phil Wilson officiating. Interment followed at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum. He died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Community Hospice following an extended illness.

Two groups to perform at Safe Harbor

Disc Golf Bag-Tag Challenge to be held at EGSC

   The Sport and Recreation Club of East Georgia State College (EGSC) will run a Disc Golf Bag-Tag Challenge from September 15, 2018 through December 1, 2018.
