SHS student Madison Moore has been accepted to EarthCare, a week-long environment-focused leadership development program held in June on the campus of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville.
Moore is one of only 100 students selected into the program from a pool of applicants across the state.
She is the daughter of Tony and Kristi Moore.
Earthcare is a partner program between Georgia Power and 21st Century Leaders.

The Swainsboro Tigers completed their baseball season, taking one of three games from Toombs County in the final series of the 2019 baseball campaign. The Tigers finished a disappointing 8-22 (3-15 in region), far below expectations for what many felt would be a playoff team. The Swainsboro Kiwanis Club traveled to Statesboro on Friday night, April 12, to host the Division 17 Governor’s Rally for the Georgia District.
The local club was responsible for set-up, registration, decorations, and clean-up. The food for the event was provided by Joe and Cindy Ware of Ware’s Bar-B-Q.
