Kiwanians host Pre-K Fun Day

   The Kiwanis Club of Swainsboro conducted its annual Swainsboro Pre-K Fun Day at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 27. The club donated funds to purchase hamburgers, chips, popcorn, tea, and cotton candy.    The 2018 Ms. Scott Health and Rehab Beauty Pageant was held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 30. Sponsored by the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club, the pageant was held in the community room of Scott Nursing Home.

Family Connection awards Mercer with scholarship

   Recently, Emanuel County Family Connection awarded its first scholarship of 2018 Emanuel County Institute  (ECI) graduate, Peyton Mercer. He was chosen over other applicants by his outstanding essay entitled “Community Pride.”

Four ECI students pocket rewards

Bulldogs hold spring sports banquet

   The ECI Bulldogs held its spring sports recognition ceremony last Monday to honor students’ participation in sports during winter and spring.

   Sports represented were basketball, baseball, track and field, golf, and tennis.
