Young to speak at New Hope

On February 24 at 3 p.m., Syvetta Drisdom Young will be the keynote speaker for a black history service at New Hope World Outreach. The theme for the service is “Making A Difference.”

Akridge reunion to be held next month

Descendants of Jim and Trudie Akridge are invited to the Akridge Family Reunion on Sunday, March 3, at noon. The reunion will be held at the Swainsboro Jaycees Fairgrounds on Fairground Road. A covered dish lunch will be served.

Officer came across a grey Dodge partially parked in the roadway. A wrecker was called to tow it.
