ECI FBLA attends state conference, five qualify for nationals

Thirteen ECI FBLA members attended the Georgia FBLA State Leadership Conference in Atlanta March 21-24. While there, members competed in various events. Nine of those members placed in the top 10 of their respective categories, and five of ECI’s members qualified to compete at the national level.

Runs hard to come by last week for Bulldogs

The Bulldog baseball team’s offense struggled to find hits and runs last week, losing two out of three games with two shutouts. During the three games played, ECI plated just 3 runs on 11 hits.

Tuesday, the Bulldogs hosted Calvary in a region match-up, losing to the Cavaliers 2-0.

New benches for ECI, thanks to 21st Century Leaders

On Friday, March 22, Emanuel County Institute’s 21st Century Leaders built benches to go in the school’s break area.

Dal Durden donated the necessary materials. John Harrison, Jake “Bassmaster” Martin, Elizabeth Kraus, and Nordson employees Ashlyn Mills and Terry Shriver led the students.

The David Emanuel Academy Eagles have yet to find their footing this season. The varsity boy s have picked up just one win in seven games thus far. Six from DEA compete in 4-H event

Students from Laura Moore’s fifth grade class represented David Emanuel Academy at 4-H Southeast District Project Achievement.

Landon Lindsey won first place in Paleontology, and Makalya Mallard won first place in Historic Events and Places. Addalyn Terwilliger took third place in Rabbit Project. Jayden Slater competed in Individual Sports, and Mattie Grace Lane and Lani Kirby both competed in Performing Arts General.
