Kiwanians time local 5K

Eight members of the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club visited East Georgia State College on Saturday, March 23, to time the ACE 5K for Hillcrest Baptist Church’s youth group.

Founder of A&O AfterCare Center talks to Kiwanians

The Swainsboro Kiwanians were joined by Rev. Keith McKinney at their weekly meeting on March 26.

Shortly after 7 p.m., McKinney delivered a program about A&O Men’s AfterCare Center. The center recently received access to a house on Lee Street in Swainsboro, which McKinney and others are in the final phases of renovating. The work should be completed sometime in April.

Tractor Supply holds red ribbon cutting event

On Friday, March 29, Tractor Supply Company hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to christen its new Swainsboro store. The grand opening is slated for some time in April, but the store opened its doors over the weekend to let locals explore and shop. Law enforcement responds to gun fire at local business
