Evangelist to visit Southside Baptist

   On Sunday, Jan. 7, Southside Baptist Church will welcome Evangelist Kirk Labouve for morning worship, which will begin at 11 a.m. The service will be preceded by Sunday school at 10 a.m. All are invited.

   Saturday, Jan. 6, the 28th annual Community New Year’s Prayer Breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. inside Swainsboro Middle School’s auditorium. East Georgia State College winter weather update

The East Georgia State College – Statesboro Campus closed at 10 a.m. on January 3, 2018 due to winter weather and will remain closed the remainder of the day. Orientation scheduled for January 4 has been rescheduled for Saturday, January 6.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE STATESBORO CAMPUS ONLY. The Swainsboro and Augusta campuses are currently open as usual.

Christmas program held at Lester Grove

   Lester Grove Missionary Ministry, along with Rev. Charles Holloway and Sister Kimbly Brown, would like to acknowledge all who helped during the Christmas program. During this event, goodie bags were given to all youth and adults, and gifts were presented to Sister Wyolene Woods and Sister Eloise Holloway.


Revival to be held at God’s Holy Tabernacle

   Pastor Amos Handsom Jr. invites the Emanuel County public to an end-of-year revival at God’s Holy Tabernacle. The worship event will be held at 7:30 p.m. nightly December 27-29. Evangelist T.R. Henton will deliver the keynote address. The church is located at 398 Parrish Pond Road, Twin City.

Wood graduates from ABAC

   Recently, Zachary Wood received his Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Natural Resource Management degree while enrolled at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Wood was an active member of the student chapter of the Wildlife Society and served as the chapter’s 2016-2017 vice president. He also worked at ABAC as a math, science, and forest resource tutor.
