On October 4, 2017, East Georgia State College’s Library will hold two events to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
From 2 – 2:30 p.m., EGSC Associate Professor of Humanities Jeniba Dart will give a lecture on “Hispanic Heritage Month: Why Do We Celebrate It?” in Room J503. From 3 – 5 p.m., there will be a Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration in the Luck F. Gambrell Building Rotunda.

Swainsboro Elemenatry School’s Allie Taylor has been selected as a 2017 Atlanta Falcons PLAY 60 MVP.
She was one of 11 students from around the state to be selected as such. MVPs were chosen based on their conscious effort and commitment to eating healthy, staying active, and demonstrating sportsmanship at their school.
