Extension agency to offer ServSafe class

   The UGA Extension Service will be conducting a ServSafe manager’s training class on April 4 and April 5 at the Sudie Fulford Community Learning Center at East Georgia State College in Swainsboro. The full registration fee is $140 and must be completed by Wednesday, March 7.

Auditions announced for annual Works in Progress productions

   Funeral services for Frank Pernell, 57, of Kite were held Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11 a.m. with Reverend Allen Meeks officiating. Interment followed in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery. He passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at his residence following an extended illness.
