Jean Anderson Morgan died peacefully on May 5, 2019, in Memphis, Tenn., at Ave Maria Home with her loving nephew, Frank Gattuso and his wife, Jami, by her side. Born August 8, 1926, in Ripley, Miss., Jean lived her early years in Collierville, Tennessee. Wiregrass Chapter gives flag certificate to Adrian post office

The Adrian branch of the United States Post Office received the Wiregrass Chapter’s 33rd U.S. Flag Certificate. Chair Al Smith presented the certificate of commendation to Clint Braswell, Adrian postmaster, on March 11.

Minor injuries in Highway 23 North crash

The driver of a white Toyota Corolla received minor injuries when she struck the rear of a truck. She was protected by her seatbelt as well as the air bags.

The crash occurred on Friday, November 30, on Highway 23 North in Garfield. Emanuel County EMS and Emanuel County sheriff’s deputies responded, along with troopers from Post 19 of the Georgia State Patrol, who investigated the wreck.
