Swainsboro High School was the site of the annual Probe Fair held Tuesday, September 17.

Probe is a program of college fairs and guidance counselor workshops that are held throughout the state of Georgia. The program is managed by the Georgia Education Articulation Committee (GEAC), whose sole mission is to stimulate interest in post-secondary education for students in Georgia.

Juniors and seniors from SHS, Emanuel County Institute, and Appling Christian Academy in Baxley were able to meet with representatives from more than 50 institutions from five different states. They learned about how different schools could meet their individual needs while exploring a variety of post-secondary choices, including armed forces options such as the United States Naval Academy located in Annapolis, Maryland.

Coming up Tuesday, November 5, the guidance office of SHS will host Apply to College Day for seniors and a parent event to help senior parents with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
