Brier Creek holds Dorian-delayed meeting

The Brier Creek Chapter, Sons of the American Revolution, held its monthly meeting six days late because of Hurricane Dorian. The meeting was held Wednesday, September 11. With President Lee Smith presiding, there were 10 members in attendance.

The highlight of the evening was the drawing for the 13″ bowie knife with an elk antler handle. The $700 knife was hand-forged by Compatriot Emory Fennell. He donated the tool and its stand to help the chapter raise money for events held during the year.

If you would like to become a member of the chapter, contact Registrar Dess Smith III at 478-299-1039 or e-mail him at saussure@bellsouth.net.
