Wynell “Nell” Hester McMichael, 81

Born in Soperton, she was one of six children and the only daughter born to the late William Dewey and Trudy Branch Hester. She was raised in Soperton, where she attended and graduated from high school. She lived in Jasper, Florida for many years before returning to Swainsboro in 2003.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Clements and Marvin McMichael; a son, Greg Clements; and a grandson, Jonathan Clements.
Miss Nell leaves behind a son, Joey Clements of Claxton; a stepdaughter, Sheila Ozier of Tennessee; brothers Rayford Hester (Editha) of Dublin, Gene Hester (Edwina) of Soperton, Paul Hester (Sandra) of Dublin, Howard Hester (Ellen) of Cedartown, and Truman Hester (Karen) of Dudley; grandchildren Casey Clements (Alecia) of Swainsboro, Wayne Clements of Twin City, Justin Clements of Vidalia, J.J. Clements, Rachel Roberts of Tennessee, and Ritchie Roberts of Florida; several great-grandchildren, including Taylor Shaw and River James Clements; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Price officiating.
Mrs. McMichael was laid to rest beside her husband in Westview Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Taylor Shaw, David Hester, Matthew Hester, Chase Giles, Tommy Davis, and Terry Davis.
Sammons Funeral Home of Soperton was in charge of arrangements.
