Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…

August 5

Emanuel County 911 dispatched officer to an address on Project Street. Upon arrival, victim reported that her boyfriend took the keys to her car after she broke up with him. She advised that she made contact with the offender, who stated he would return the keys but has failed to do so.

August 6

Officer responded to a South Green Street address following Emanuel County 911 dispatch. Upon arrival, victim reported receiving terroristic threats from an unknown subject.

Officer responded to an address on East MLK Blvd. in reference to harassment. Upon arrival, victim reported a known offender had stopped in the roadway in front of the victim’s house and threatened her. Contact was made with the offender, who denied all allegations made and was issued a criminal trespass warning.

Emanuel County 911 dispatched officer to the railroad tracks on South Green Street in reference to a bicyclist being run off the roadway by a vehicle. Upon arrival, a witness reported seeing the victim fly off his bicycle and landing in a wooded area next to the roadway. EMS responded to the scene to evaluate the victim’s injuries before transporting him to a nearby medical setting for further treatment.

Officer was dispatched to a South Main Street address in reference to terroristic threats and acts and disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, the complainant and two witnesses advised officer that the offender attacked them and made threats after being told to go to his room. It was further reported that the offender chased the complainant and witnesses to their car and attempted to reach through the car window to grab the complainant while still threatening the complainant and witnesses. Contact was then made with the offender, who was reported to be intoxicated, and he was taken into custody and served a criminal trespass warning.

August 7

Officer responded to a West Main Street address in reference to a damaged gas pump.

August 9

Officer performed a traffic stop in reference to an expired tag on an operating vehicle. During the traffic stop, officer also learned that the license belonging the driver was suspended. An arrest was then made and the driver was transported to the Emanuel County Jail.
