Danny L. Altman, 68

Graveside services for Danny L. Altman, 68, of Kite were held Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Swainsboro City Cemetery with Reverend Ricky Downs officiating. Visitation was held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until the time of the graveside service. He passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at University Hospital in Augusta following an extended illness.

Mr. Danny L. Altman was born on May 5, 1951 in Swainsboro to the late Grady Sol Altman and Mary Alice Bryant Altman. He loved to rebuild cars. Altman enjoyed going to car shows, fishing, and watching old tv shows like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Andy Griffith Show. He was an avid cat lover and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Altman was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvie Altman, Lanier Altman, and Roger Altman, and sisters, Oveta Martin, Laverna Jones, and Matalice Altman.

Survivors include his sons, Todd Altman of Savannah and Mark Altman of Kite; daughters, Gail (Greg) Taylor of Wills Point, Texas, Angie Lively of Statesboro, and Barbara (Jeremy) Loyd of Swainsboro; brother, Kenny Altman of East Point; sister, Betty Rodriquez of Wadley,; sister-in-law, Lena Altman of Swainsboro; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. 

Chapman Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
