Saint Paul–Noah’s Ark AME to honor Rev. Pitts

Members of Saint Paul–Noah’s Ark AME Church in Summertown invite the community to its pastor’s first appreciation service on Sunday, July 14, at 2 p.m. Rev. Amos Darrisaw and his congregations from Burnett Grove and Mount Pleasant in Washington County will be in charge.

Rev. Darrisaw is an ordained itinerant deacon of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He is a tenured assistant professor of mathematics at Georgia State University Perimeter College in Atlanta. He graduated from Washington County Schools, received a B.S. in mathematics from Fort Valley State University, and earned a Master of Science in Mathematics from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is currently attending Columbia Theological Seminary. He will receive his Master of Divinity in May 2020. Rev. Darrisaw and his family reside in Snellville.

Dinner will be served after the 2 p.m. service.
