Linda Maltby Peebles, 71

Mrs. Linda Maltby Peebles, 71, of Lyons, died Saturday, July 6, 2019 in the Community Hospice House of Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Vidalia and lived in Toombs County most of her life. Mrs. Peebles was a homemaker and was Christian by faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances George Maltby and Annette Fountain Maltby.
Mrs. Peebles is survived by her devoted husband of 26 years, Harmon Peebles of Lyons; daughters Melissa Jarriel (Danny Meddars) and Amanda Page (Sam), both of Vidalia; brother Mikel Maltby (Donna) of Vidalia; sisters Brenda Dees of Cedar Crossing, Gayle Maltby of Fort Myers, Florida, June Starrett (Tim) of Augusta, and Tomi Glisson (Jeff) of Brooklet; step-daughter Debra Churchville (Lee) of Vidalia; grandson Logan Page of Vidalia; step-grandson Wendall Landon Peebles of Lyons; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to acknowledge Jason Colbert and staff at the Community Hospice House for compassionate and respectful services provided during this time.
The family received friends at the Toombs County Funeral Home in Lyons Monday, July 8, 2019 from 5 until 7 p.m. There will be no service per Mrs. Peebles’ request. Interment will be private at a later date.
