EGSC professor completes book review

Dr. Tom Caiazzo, Professor of Political Science at East Georgia State College, recently completed a review of the proposed text Engaging Citizenship by Lauren Balasco, Claire Abernathy, and Jennifer Forestal (Stockton University). The text focused on the role of the United States in the global political ecosystem and seeks to inspire students to become more engaged in the democratic process. Patrick Keefe, Editorial Assistant, and Jennifer Carpenter, Executive Editor of Politics at Oxford University Press, asked Dr. Caiazzo for his assistance on this review project.
Dr. Caiazzo is a tenured full professor of Political Science, is a two-time EGSC Distinguished Faculty of the Year (2013 and 2016) and an EGSC Ritz Carlton Award Winner,(2008).
Dr. Caiazzo is very active on campus and engaged in the community where he serves of many college committees such as the Judicial Review committee. He is also a political consultant, serves as the Governing Board Chairman for the Statesboro STEAM Academy, and a community organizer for fundraising events with groups such as the Toys for Tots Foundation, the Bulloch County Relay for Life, and the US Against Alzheimer’s.
