Twin City Mayor Pro Tem Matt Donaldson was elected to the board of directors for the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) during the association’s annual meeting in Savannah on June 23.

Donaldson will serve as first vice president of GMA’s 9th District. The district includes cities in the following counties: Johnson, Emanuel, Candler, Treutlen, Laurens, Bleckley, Dodge, Wheeler, Montgomery, Toombs, Tattnall, Evans, Appling, Wayne, Jeff Davis, Telfair and Wilcox.

“We are pleased to have Mayor Pro Tem Donaldson taking on this leadership position,” said GMA Executive Director Lamar Norton. “He’s well respected by his colleagues, and I’m sure he’ll provide great leadership to the cities in his district.”
