Officers with the Swainsboro Police Department (SPD) reported…
Officer was dispatched to an address on South Main Street in reference to a report of burglary with no forced entry. Upon arrival, officer viewed video footage of a male subject inside the location after business hours. The video surveillance showed the offender staying in the bathroom until employees left location. Once employees left, the offender sat in the lobby in-between times of attempting to steal money from a money box. The following morning, the offender hid in the restrooms as employees began preparing for business prior existed the location. Through the offender was not able to obtain any money, a Palm Pilot, Kindle Fire, and food was taken by the offender. Follow up was made with an additional officer to locate offender, due to attending office recognizing the offender in the video from past occurrences. The additional officer then reported the offender was currently incarcerated in the Emanuel County Jail since May 24.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to an address on North Main St. in reference to a male subject being found passed out on a sidewalk. Officers requested EMS to the scene, where the male subject was evaluated and transported to a medical setting.
Officer was dispatched to an address on Sutton Drive in reference to an altercation.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to an address on Rosedale Circle in reference to a missing person. Upon arrival, officers located and began pulling a body that was found face down out of a body of water. Once pulling body from pond, SPR was started and continued until the arrival of EMS. EMS then took over giving aid and transported the unresponsive person to an emergency room setting for further treatment. Following given treatment at the medical setting, it was determined that the person had died from drowning.
Officer was dispatched to an address on South Main Street in reference to a 911 hang up call. Upon arrival, complainant reported an unknown offender attempted to make purchase with a counterfeit $100 bill.
Officer responded to a 911 call at an address on South Main Street in reference to harassing communications.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officer to an address on South Main Street in reference to an irate customer. The irate individual was then criminally trespassed from property.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to an address on North Main Street in reference to shots fired with one confirmed victim. Contact was made with victim but victim refused to meet with law enforcement to confirm of condition or provide any information related to the incident.
Officer attempted a traffic stop on a motorcycle at the intersection of Anderson Drive and Turner Drive which led to high speed chase that ended with the offender being arrested and transported to the Emanuel County Jail.
Complainant reported criminal trespass of property.
Officer responded to an address on Stevens Drive in reference to a domestic dispute.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officer to the area of Williams and North Coleman Street in reference to a male subject yelling at passing cars and performing indecent exposure. Officer made contact with involved subject, who then began running from officer. Officer patrolled and remained in the area in attempt to make contact but was unable to locate offender.
Officer responded to an address on Calhoun Street in reference to a dispute.
Complainant reported a damaged vehicle.
Officer responded to an address on Abundance Street in reference to a theft.
Officer responded to an address on South Main Street in reference to assisting another agency with a vehicle fire.
Detectives from the police department were dispatched to an address on Gumlog Road in reference to a domestic dispute.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officers to an address on South Main Street in reference to a fight in progress.
Complainant reported a stolen license plate.
Victim reported theft of medicine delivered via mail that was signed off by an unknown offender.
Officer responded to Burke County Detention Center of Waynesboro in reference to a bench warrant. The offender was then transferred and turned over to the Emanuel County Jail.
Complainant reported criminal trespass.
Officer responded to the area of Lewis and Church Streets in reference to assisting SPD drug unit with transport and citations.
Officer was dispatched to an address on North Main Street in reference to a reckless driver. Upon arrival, contact was made with driver and passenger when officer observed the driver showing signs of being under the influence. A conducted search led to the findings of a brown cigar containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana as well as additional marijuana found inside the vehicle. Officers also located what was believed to be marijuana on the driver’s person and learned that the driver was unlicensed. The driver and passenger were then transported to the police department to meet with a juvenile probation officer. Due to ages of involved offenders, the driver was transported to the Emanuel County Jail and the passenger being turned over to the Department of Juvenile Justice pannell and legal guardian.

Officer responded to an address on Industrial Way in reference to a report of theft.
Officer was dispatched to an address on West Church Street in reference to report of burglary by forced entry.
Emanuel County 911 dispatched officer to an address on North Coleman Street in reference to a disorderly house.
Officers were dispatched to the area of South Main Street in reference to a shoplifting. Patrol units searched the area and made contact with offender fitting description of shoplifter. When attempt was made to arrest offender, the subject became irate and would not comply with given orders. The offender was eventually apprehended, and both offender and one officer were aided by EMS for injuries associated with the arrest. The stolen items were then returned to involved place of business.

While positioned on Market Street for the purpose of fueling a police vehicle, officer noticed a diesel engine of a tractor be be operating at idle speed. No contact was made with any trespassers and contact was made with city personnel on this matter.
Officer was dispatched to an address on East Martin Luther King Boulevard in reference to criminal trespass of private property.
Complainant reported a damaged vehicle.
Officer responded to an address on Wheeler Road in Augusta in reference to the serving of warrant and apprehending an offender.
Officer was dispatched to an address on South Main Street in reference to disorderly conduct.
While patrolling the area of West Main Street, officer made a traffic stop due to a vehicle’s passenger side brake light not working properly. When making contact with driver, officer noticed and advised of detecting a strong smell of marijuana. The driver then admitted to recently smoking a blunt prior to the traffic stop. When asked to step out so that officer may search the vehicle, the driver advised of having an additional blunt and requested passenger subject to give to officer. The two were asked to step out the vehicle for further searching to be completed and officer located a pint-sized mason jar containing suspected marijuana inside. The passenger and driver were then placed under arrest.
While patrolling the area of North Coleman Street, officer observed a vehicle at the intersection of Wadley Street and North Coleman Street with no working headlights. Officer proceeded to follow vehicle and also observed the taillights not working on the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. During the traffic stop, officer learned the driver was operating the vehicle with suspended license. An arrest was made.
