Diocese assembly to take place next week

The 88th Georgia Diocese Assembly of the Churches of the Living God, Inc. is scheduled to begin Tuesday, June 18, and will continue through Sunday, June 23. Services will be held at Williams Grove Holiness Church of the Living God, Inc. in Swainsboro at 7:30 p.m. with morning seminars Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon.

Overseer James D. Bartley will deliver the opening message on Tuesday night. Wednesday night will feature Elder Gladys Whicker, and the host church’s pastor, Elder Joyce Williams, will speak Thursday night. Elder James Blair will deliver Friday night’s message.

Seminar speakers will be as follows: Bishop Bertha Jones on Thursday, Dr. Jannie Davis on Friday, and Dr. Tangie Bartley on Saturday.

June 23 will begin with Sunday school taught by Rev. Brenda Corley at 10 a.m. The climax of services will begin at 11:15 a.m. with Bishop Jones delivering the message.

All of these services are subject to change. The community is invited to attend.
