Canady, Hendley announce upcoming wedding

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Canady of Swainsboro are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Alie Shae Canady, to Mr. Tyler Mercer Hendley of Garfield, son of Jay Hendley and Patti Mercer Hendley.

The bride-elect is a 2012 graduate of David Emanuel Academy. She pursued her education at Georgia Southern University, where she was a member of the Kappa Mu Chapter of Phi Mu Sorority and graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s in marketing. She later obtained her real estate license in 2018 and is now employed as an agent with South Auction Reality, yet she stays greatly involved in her family’s business, Yardmaster Inc. Miss Canady is a member of the First Methodist Church of Swainsboro. She is the granddaughter of Linda Bishop of Oak Park, Lavan Canady of Swainsboro, the late Frank Bishop, and the late Jonny Canady.

The future groom is a 2010 honor graduate of West Laurens High School and a 2014 graduate of ABAC with a bachelor’s in diversified agriculture. He is currently a salesman at Helena Agri-Enterprises in Wrightsville. Mr. Hendley also serves as vice president of Emanuel County Young Farmers Association and attends church at First Baptist Church of Twin City. He is the grandson of Jimmy Ray and Jackie Mercer of Twin City, Robbie Nell Hendley of Millen, and the late Dr. John Ell Hendley.

The wedding will be held at First United Methodist Church of Swainsboro at 5 p.m. on Saturday, September 28, 2019. A reception will follow at the home of Frank and Teah Canady.
