Ag students at Swainsboro High School were busy spring semester learning various skills that pertain to the vocational trades industry. Students in Ag Mechanics learned about welding, electrical wiring, woodworking, and measurement.
One of the projects that students were able to complete this semester included learning how to correctly assemble from plans and weld together toolboxes that were donated by Advanced Metal Components.
This project was completed as a collaboration with AMC to provide students with an opportunity to develop their ability to weld on sheet metal. The project also gave students the opportunity to see firsthand some of the job opportunities that are available to them in Emanuel County.
