The Wiregrass, Brier Creek, and Col. William Few chapters set up their American Revolution “traveling trunk” on the square in downtown Swainsboro after the 74th Annual Pine Tree Festival parade on Saturday, May 4, 2019.

Compatriot Steve Burke has worked years in preparing his traveling trunk made up of “roadkill” animals and materials he has collected. The PTF drew thousands of spectators and while all of them did not view the trunk, a lot of them did. Burke had more than four tables full of his items, and numerous other items were displayed on the sidewalk.

Participating SAR members from the three aforementioned chapters were: Steve Burke, Ruskin Powell, Alton McCloud, Hayden McCloud, Dess Smith III, Wilder Smith Jr., Tommy Christopher, Chip Durden, Al Smith, Allen Mincey, and Emory Fennell.
