May 4

Officers was dispatched to an address on King Circle Drive in reference to a miscellaneous report.

Officer made an arrest in reference to an active warrant.

Officer responded to the area of Lincoln Street in reference to an individual stating she was being followed by a male offender who was trying to jump on her. Officer made contact with the male subject, who advised that he was following the complainant after she left on foot when asked to assist in toting in some groceries. He further advised noticing his wallet being removed from the car after the involved female left. Officer also learned that the female complainant gave false information as to what she was wearing and remembered passing her on the way to the said area but didn’t identify her due to receiving false information.

Officer was dispatched to an address on North Green Street in reference to a miscellaneous report.

While traveling on Lambs Bridge Road at the intersection of South Coleman Street, officer reported being struck by a driver who failed to fully stop or yield. GSP responded to work the accident.

Officer made a traffic stop in reference to a driver failing to completely stop at a stop sign located at the intersection of Anderson Drive and East Main Street. During the stop, officer learned the driver’s license were suspended. An arrest was made.

May 5

Officer attempted to make a traffic stop in reference to a driver failing to yield at a stop sign and red light. The driver ignored the officer’s attempt to make a traffic stop and proceeded to drive. The driver finally stopped at a local business and exited the involved vehicle. Officer detained involved subject and learned that the drivers licenses was suspended and the registration of the involved vehicle had been canceled. Offender was then transported to jail.

Officer responded to an address on Hickory Trace Circle in reference to a damaged vehicle.

May 6

Complainant reported theft by taking.

Officer was dispatched to an address on Carver Street in reference to burglary by forced entry.

Complainant reported a pair of boots being removed from his vehicle.

Complainant reported a firearm being stolen from her vehicle.

Complainant reported damage to vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to the area of West Moring Street in reference to an injured deer.

Complainant reported hubcaps being stolen from a vehicle.

Officer was dispatched to an address on Herrington Avenue in reference to an unwanted subject being on the property. Complainant failed to present any TPO orders to refrain unwanted subject from residence. Being the unwanted subject was believed to reside at the said location prior to this, officers advised the subject was allowed to gather belongings. Complainant then left to stay at a different residence.

May 7

Officer was dispatched to an address on West MLK Boulevard in reference to an individual receiving threats.

Officer made an arrest in reference to two outstanding warrants.

Complainant reported a gasoline drive off.

Officer made an arrest in reference to a probation warrant.

Officers responded to an address on Carver Street in reference to criminal trespass. Officer was advised a criminal trespass warning was issued to the involved offender, which he signed. Contact was then made with offender, who gave a false name and date of birth.

Officer was dispatched by Emanuel County 911 to an address on West Moring Street in reference to disorderly conduct. Arrests were made.

Officers were dispatched to an address on Thigpen Drive in reference to a fight in progress. Two arrests were made.

May 8

Officer responded to an address on Lewis Street in reference to a dog bite.

May 9

Officers were dispatched by Emanuel County 911 to an address on North Coleman Street in reference to a dispute.

May 10

Complainant reported harassing communications.

Complainant reported damage to vehicle.

Emanuel County 911 dispatched officer to an address on West Main Street in reference to a shoplifting.

May 11

Officer responded to the area of Williams Street in reference to multiple shots being fired and an anonymous caller advising 911 that sone had been shot. Negative contact was made while patrolling the area.

May 12

Officer was dispatched to an address on Project Street in reference to an individual requesting the key back from a significant other. Officer advised proper ways to handle the situation through magistrate court due to significant other residing at location since the beginning of this year.

An anonymous caller notified Emanuel County 911 of shots being fired on Gumlog Road. Upon officer’s arrival, no contact was made.

Officer responded to the area of Gumlog Road in reference to a group of individuals fighting. No witnesses reported seeing or hearing of any fighting going on within the area and no contact was made with offenders.

Officer was dispatched by Emanuel County 911 in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival, officer observed a front glass door of a residence was shattered with bullet holes in the door and wall of residence. The shooting was said to be a reprisal following a recent trial involving Darcey Thompson.
