Dr. Judy receives GSSA President’s Award

Emanuel County Schools Superintendent Dr. Kevin A. Judy received a prestigious President’s Award recently during the Georgia School Superintendents Association’s (GSSA) Spring Bootstrap Conference in Savannah.
The award was given to Dr. Judy during a presentation Wednesday, April 17, in front of his peers from across the state. These awards are given to superintendents for outstanding leadership in their school systems and communities.
Brownyn Ragan-Martin, GSSA president-elect, shared what earned Dr. Judy the award during remarks before conference attendees.
“Forward thinking, Dr. Judy saw a tremendous need to provide leadership opportunities to teachers in the school improvement process. He has challenged the status quo and created an environment of collaboration by engaging parents, administrators, and teachers in ensuring academic success for all students,” noted Ragan-Martin. “He is known for his honest, straightforward approach to making the educational process better for the students of Emanuel County. It is evidenced in the rising student achievement results the Emanuel County School System is producing.”
