Dear Editor,

We often hear about “deadbeat dads” and are aware that this is something that exists… But, what about those dads who will give their all just to take care of their kids? They pay child support and try to co-parent when they are allowed. They spend time with their kids as much as possible.

Then, there are the mothers of the children who do not work and can often be seen in nail and hair salons.

When a dad celebrates a birthday, Father’s Day, or Christmas, the mother will not let the father have the kids, talk to them, or have any contact with them. She will not even send a $1 card to the father on any occasion. To me, this is a “deadbeat mom.”

We know that there are dads that do not take care of their kids. We also know that moms don’t teach their kids to give thanks to their dads that are taking care of them. To me, this is a “deadbeat mom.”

This is such a true statement. I recently went to a local park ,ayoung man had his three children for the day . This young man was playing with his children . Good to see this behavior. He said he works to support them.
