Although they’re not in Emanuel County yet, hummingbirds have arrived in Georgia!
To somewhat of a surprise, they were first sighted in Athens on February 27, next in Rincon (southeast Georgia) on February 28, and Sylvester (southwest Georgia) on March 2.
Hummers have arrived in Emanuel County as early as March 16 and as late at March 29. The males will be the first to arrive, and they are the first to leave in October.
