SHS plans black history program

Black History Month, or National African American History Month, is an annual celebration of achievements by black Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in the story of the United States of America.

Swainsboro High School will commemorate Black History Month with a program at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 21. The guest speaker will be Reverend Richard A. Washington of Columbus. The theme of the program will be “Black History: The Foundation for America.”
