On January 29, fifth grade students at Swainsboro Elementary School learned about chemical and physical changes through their science studies.
Erin Youmans and Darlene Jordan from East Georgia State College helped the students with hands-on investigations to help them learn the differences between the two types of changes. Students worked with clay and bubble wrap to investigate physical changes, and they investigated chemical changes by observing the effects of steel wool soaking in water and combining different solutions and products.
