Virginia Toler Peebles, 80

   Funeral services for Virginia Toler Peebles, 80, of Swainsboro will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Paul Leigh officiating. Interment will follow at Swainsboro City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 7, from 6-8 p.m. She passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Emanuel Medical Center.

Mrs. Virginia Toler Peebles was born September 20, 1938 in Soperton, Treutlen County, to the late Archie and Nannie Phillips Toler. She was retired from American General Ins. Co, was manager of Swainsboro Apartments for many years, owned and operated People Care Personal Care Home, and was an active member of Swainsboro First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Peebles; sister, Betty Toler Phillips; and brother, Harry Toler.

Survivors include her sister, Peggy Corbin of Soperton; two nieces, Teri Phillips and Dawn Phillips; five nephews, Ashley Corbin, Andrew (Charlsie) Corbin, Randall (Jennie) Corbin, Kerry (Opeal) Phillips, and Chris (Jamie) Phillips; special friend and caregiver, Andrea Martins; and extended family.

Pallbearers were David Kent, Freddie McVey, Johnny Price, Donny Price, Mauricino Martinez, and Tyler Peebles.

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.
