AB Gardner, 66

A celebration of life service for AB Gardner, 66, was held Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus in Swainsboro with Minister Mildred Phillips presiding. Interment followed in Swainsboro City Cemetery. He died November 21, 2018, at Emanuel Medical Center.
Mr. AB Gardner was born on January 22, 1952, in Bailey to the late Sam Gardner and Rosa Lee Hunter Gardner. He grew up in Bailey and attended Applling County Schools. His family moved to Emanuel County, where AB spent most of his adult life in Swainsboro. He was one who never met a stranger, and was known as a “jack of all trades.” In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Minnie, Sarah, David, Joe Lewis, and Bobby Gardner.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 45 years Ozzie D. Gardner; three daughters, Elaine Brown of Atlanta, Stephanie Gardner of Statesboro, and Crystal Gardner; special daughter who he raised, Ty’sheonna Gardner; six sisters, Mary Holstonof Savannah, Barbara Gardner, Rilene Gardner of Twin City, Bessie L. James and Ruby Nell McPhall, both Waycross, and Ruby Gardner of Fort Myers, Florida; 10 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers were Russell Givens, Termetrius Gardner, Bobby Gardner, Taureane Gardner, Deon Jordan, and Tavius Holt.
Mosley’s Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
