Kiwanis Club, Family Connection work together to put on another great Book-O-Ween

On October 31, members of the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club helped make the Book-O-Ween event at the early head start a “spooky success.”

The annual event puts the focus on reading instead of candy. Each classroom door was decorated by teachers with a theme from a book chosen by each class. As the program began, the children were “treated” to reading a fun, age-appropriate book. In addition, the children received healthy goodies, like 100 percent juice or fruit snacks, as they rotated from room to room.
