East Georgia I-16 Industrial Park infrastructure enters next phase

This past Monday, sewer infrastructure construction began at the East Georgia I-16 Industrial Park.
The sewer will be installed along U.S. Highway 1 back to the sewerage treatment facility in Swainsboro.
In addition to providing sewer for the I-16 Park, it will open the entire corridor along U.S. 1 from the park to Swainsboro for future development. The sewer will also provide sewer for the Highway 297 Park, which will service the new sawmill that is projected to be in operation before the end of the year, providing 100 new jobs and a private investment of $25,000,000.
