Dorothy “Dot” Lynn, 77

   Funeral services for Dorothy “Dot” Lynn, 77, of Lyons will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Funeral Home with Reverend Chad Wood officiating. Interment will follow in the Lyons City Cemetery. She died Friday, October 5, 2018, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia after a period of declining health.

   Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Lynn was born on December 29, 1940, and was a graduate of Oak Park High School. She married M.J. “Shorty” Cannady in 1960 and lived in Oak Park. She later married Dennis “Coon” Lynn on August 25, 1990, and lived in Lyons. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church for many years and later moved her membership to Lyons First Baptist Church. Lynn enjoyed and showed her love by cooking for her family, friends, church, and community. Cooking was the gift from God. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evadell Collins Monroe Wrenn; father, James Manning Monroe; husband, Dennis “Coon” Lynn; son, Ron Cannady; great-grandson, Alston Page; sister, Marilyn Slater; brothers, Dilburn Monroe and Olin Monroe; and step-son, Bobby Lynn.

   Survivors include one daughter, Renae Cannady; one son, Tyrone Craige Cannady; one sister, Barbara Lloyd (David) Andrews; eight grandchildren, Jordan (Ashley) Alexander, Tiffany Alexander (Craig) George, Brant Mauras, Nicole Cannady (Alex) Page, Danielle (Jared) Cannady, Tyler Cannady, Harlee Cannady, and Caleb Cannady; seven great-grandchildren, Makenzie Alexander, Greylin and  Raegan George, Tristin and Weston Page, and Annalise and Kaylee Page; step children, Ronnie (Judy) Lynn, Dale Lynn, Brenda (Richard) Gudsan, and Danny Lynn; seventeen step-grandchildren, Kendra (Brian) Fitzgerald and Dequera (Derrick) Hardman, Stephanie (Trent) Williams, Brandy (Chad) Taylor, Richie (Mallory) Gudsan, Hallie Gudsan, Zack Gudsan, Nick Gudsan, Isreal and Christopher Lynn, Ashley (Brian) Howard, Landon  Lynn, Casey (Mark) Lott, Callie Lynn, Ethan Lynn, and Evan Lynn; and eighteen great-grandchildren, Shane Fitzgerald, Bricyn Fitzgerald, Rilyn Fitzgerald, Jackson Newton, Ella Newton, Cooper Hardman, Chase Williams, Analise Williams, Leighton Williams, Avery Taylor, Addison Taylor, Ellie Gudsan, Isaac Gudsan, Troy Gudsan, AydenLott, Brylee Lott, Knylee Lott, and Milly Lott.

   Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia is in charge of arrangements.
