Local students, parents reward officer with appreciation gift

Most mornings between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. on Highway 80, at the entrance of Parrish Pond Road, individuals will encounter a friendly police officer, named George, directing early morning traffic. His smile doesn’t go unnoticed by many parents and students of Twin City Elementary (TCE). A simple smile and nod goes a long ways, and certainly makes mornings a little better. Because of his efforts, a group of kids and their parents  returned the favor of kindness by giving him a basket of goodies and letters written by kids as a way of saying “Thank you, Officer George.”
