Jane “MaJane” West Wren, 89

   Funeral services for Jane “MaJane” West Wren, 89, of Swainsboro were held Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Swainsboro. Burial followed at Swainsboro City Cemetery. She passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home after an extended illness.
   Mrs. Jane “MaJane” West Wren was born to Ernestine Outlaw West and BV West, who passed away shortly before her birth on June 15, 1929. She lived in Swainsboro all of her life, attending Swainsboro High School and Georgia Teachers College. A devoted wife, daughter, mother, and friend, she had a great sense of humor and loved to do for others. She loved needleworking, going to her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and ball games, and cooking for family and others. She loved her church, Calvary Methodist, where she was the oldest member. She retired from Swainsboro Gas Company after 30 years as bookkeeper, and she was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 57 years, Homer G. Wren; and her brother, Robert E. West Sr.

She is survived by her Sons, Robert Jordan Wren (Kelly) and Hugh Wren, both of Swainsboro

And her daughters , Anne W. Rountree (George) of Statesboro  and Nancy W. Stroud (RoyLin) of Swainsboro. 
   She was a great MaJane to her grandchildren, Jason (Whitney) Farmer, Justin (Jessica) Wren, Shanda (Matt) Hall, Wesley (Brittany) Wren, Sable W. (Mitch) Fleming , Britney (Mark) Dawkins, Brandy Butler (Matt) Lamb, Lindsay Stroud (Rocky Davis); and Tressa Rountree; and several great-grandchildren.
   Palbearers were her grandsons, Jason Farmer, Justin Wren, Wesley Wren, and Mitch Fleming and her nephews, Billy West, Jim Willis, and Richard Gilmer.
   In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Pruitt Hospice, 667 South Main Street, Swainsboro 30401, or the Historic Dixie Theatre Renovation Project, c/o Downtown Development, 101 West Main Street, Swainsboro, Ga 30401.
   Tomlinson Funeral Home of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements.
