Bobby Emmitt Sowell, 82

   Graveside services for Bobby Emmitt Sowell, 82, were held Thursday, August 30, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Stillmore City Cemetery. He died Monday, August 27, 2018, at his residence.

   Mr. Bobby Emmitt Sowell was born in Stillmore on December 23, 1935, to the late James William Sowell and Elva Lee Collins Sowell. He lived most of his life in the Middle Georgia area. Sowell honorably served his country with the United States Army and was a retired lan manager for Georgia Motor Finance Company. He loved watching the Braves play ball, Georgia Tech, Duke basketball, cheering for Tom Brady, and fishing for crappie. Sowell was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Sowell and Gene Sowell.

   Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Jenny Sutton Sowell; son, Kerry (Julie) Sowell; daughter, Karen Sowell (Ray) Bryant; grandchildren, Matthew (Susan) Bryant, Adrien Sowell (Scott) Page, Joshua (Jill) Bryant, Justin (Kelly) Sowell, Chandler (Chelsea) Bryant, Sydnie Kemp, and Sutton Kemp; great-grandchildren, Johnny Page, Madison Bryant, and Noah Sowell; sister, Sandra Dye; sisters-in-law, Kay Sowell and Peggy Sowell; step-grandchildren, Kevin Leslie, Chris Leslie, and Kati (Chris) Black; step-great-grandchildren, Anna Leslie, Jacob Leslie, Mahkenzi Black, Emily Black, and Brayden Black; and a host of numerous nieces and nephews.

   Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory  was in charge of arrangements.
